This is my Grandfather Robert Ralston Bringhurst, His Brother Mart, and their father William Bringhurst. Mart was always my favorite of my grandfather's siblings. He cussed and swore and had the loudest laugh I've ever heard. I loved family reunions as long as Uncle Mart was there.







This is my Grandfather's mother, Bella Bird Bringhurst. I only know one story of her.. my dad has told me that it was often for women to ask, "How many children did you give birth to?" and follow that with the question, "How many did you raise?"















This is my Grandmothers Parent's Lula K. Allan and Isaac Norman Tipton. Isaac passed away when my grandmother was still very young, and Lula later married a man named Daniel Whitney. She was always Grandma Whitney and I remember my dad telling us that her swear word was "Oh Sugar"

These pictures are certainly from a more romantic time. I wish I had a way of getting my hands on some of the clothes worn in this picture. I am taking a historical textiles class next semester and I would love to have these for my final presentation.
